Farming UI

Farming is a production skill that allows players to grow and harvest produce. The produce can then be used in the Crafting and Cooking skill to create gear or food.

Equipment

The following items affect farming:

• Hoes give a bonus to effective farming level, increasing the chance of a greater yield when harvesting (does not exceed the cap). Augmenting a hoe increases its farming bonus.
• Scroll of Cultivation can enchant hoes for a 1% chance to give your seed back when harvesting.
• Scroll of the Gold Digger can enchant hoes to give 1000 gold at a chance of 10%* when harvesting.
• Scroll of Farming can enchant hoes for a 1% chance to receive double the yield when harvesting.
• Scroll of Fertilizing can enchant hoes for a 10% effect of fertilizer.
• Fertilizer will increase the growth rate of a crop by ~10%. The amount of fertilizer required depends on the plant's size.

* This chance is statistical in nature and may not be entirely accurate.

Plot Size

Plot size is only affected by a player's base farming level, and not effective levels; hoes and mastery do not increase plot size.

Yield Formula

The formula for the yield of a seed with a level requirement of lvlReq is given by

where ${\textstyle X,Y}$ are independent and uniformly distributed on ${\textstyle [0,1]}$.
