A monster is the official term for an attackable NPC. They range from the weak, low-level Small Rat to the currently strongest monster Ice Giant. Monsters are often fought by players for experience and loot.
Players can only regain health while in combat by eating food from the combat inventory, which could also provide buffs depending on food type used. To put food in the combat inventory, click the item in your regular inventory and click "Add to Combat Inventory" while outside of combat. Equipment can also be equipped in the same way, with the "Equip" button.
Damage and defense against monsters are determined by a player's combat levels and equipment.
